I de bon matí i aprofitant que l’Hipo viento huracanado havia parat, hem fet una mini ruta abans de sortir cap a Vík. No, no es el Vic dels fuets ni el Bic dels bolis, es un poble coster amb unes platges d’aquelles de les pelis angleses o americanes, que son molt boniques però que mai s’hi banya ningú.
Doncs a la mini excursió hem pujat a un poblet, prop de les cascades d’ahir, on la peculiaritat és que la gespa de les cases no només està al jardí sinó que també la tenen a la teulada. Són coses que s’han de veure, perquè així explicat, perd molt.
D’aquí a l’esmentat Vík. Amb Una ventada que el fet posar gasolina ha esdevingut tota una proesa, no només pel puto ventot, sinó perquè barallar-te amb un dispensador automàtic (aquí són així) en Islandès cerrao, es com per agafar la màquina, ruixar-la amb el seu propi carburant, i calar-hi foc.
Total, que a Vík, les platges, lo dit. Grans, extenses, de vistes precioses, de paissatges bucòlics, però també de banya’t si tens collons. Onades, ressaca, negre…. Això sí, les formacions rocoses del voltant, els penyasegats i les muntanyetes, espectaculars. Hi havia unes parets formades per hexàgons de roca, i tant la Cris com jo hem decidit enfilar-nos, a una alçada prudencial com per que la foto enganyés el suficient i semblés que havíem escalat l’Everest.
Canviant de cala, hem anat a parar a un lloc d’avistament de Puffins (i uns collons, avistament si tens visió nocturna i una lent de zoom incorporada a la retina, sinó, no veus res) on de retruc hem acabat veient una foca (l’animal, no la típica senyora anglesa gruixuda que s’embadurna de crema i acaba semblant una gamba de Palamós).
D’aquí, i com qui no vol la cosa, aprofitant que la caravana ens deixa parar on volem, hem vist un lloc per fer la paradinha, hem entrat i davant nostre: la bèstia, la aparisión, com si hagués baixat la verge a revelar-nos el sentit de la vida, allà estava: Skógafoss, la cascada més imponent que he vist mai, la força de la natura en estat pur. Una bèstia de 50 metres (a ull) deixant anar tones i tones d’aigua en una postal incomparable (si no fos pels putos turistes, esclar).
I vist això, només queda tancar els ulls i dormir lleugerament inclinats per culpa de l’orografia del càmping cap a un costat aleatori, la gespa decideix.
