Pim pam, ja som a Reykjavík, encara que tal i com ens ha rebut el clima, sembla que no ens hi vulguin. Fot fred, aire, pluja i a més parlen en raro.

Per si algú no ho sap, hem vingut a passar 11 dies a mandos d’una autocaravana per fer la volta a Islàndia. Aquí és temporada baixa encara (fins el dia 15) i tot apunta que no estarem gaire acompanyats durant el camí.

L’illa té una ruta (la ruta 1, que no s’han matat gaire amb el nom) que fa un cercle per tota l’illa (1200 kms aprox) i que et permet anar de Villa-arriba a Villa-abajo sempre i quan passis per la resta de pobles i villes de l’illa. Ben mirat es com l’Ikea, que si vols passar dels sofàs a les cuines, has de passar pels dormitoris.

Doncs dijous ens donen l’auto-caravana i fins llavors estem aquí a la capital, que sembla més aviat un poble, perque hi ha quatre gats i no tots són al carrer (que no m’extranya, amb el clima hostil que tenen).

Avui hem visitat l’òpera (Harpa), un edifici d’aquests raros que no es poden memoritzar. Tot fet com de panells d’abelles, miralls, parets negres. Total, que només per la descripció podria semblar el típic local de la psicodelia dels 70, però aquí hi han posat quartos i està fet amb bon gust.

Potser només hem caminat 20 minuts, però han semblat 2 hores sota l’huracà que bufa per aquí. Hem arribat a un seafood restaurant i hem tastat una de les especialitats de l’illa: lobster soup (sopa de llagosta). Bé, l’ha tastat el Dani perquè aquesta gent li posa llet fins i tot a la sopa de peix i no vull morir la primera nit al país. Jo m’he menjat una broqueta de Halibut, que no sé encara de quin peix es tracta, però estava deliciós.

Per no enrotllar-me més, diré que el que més m’ha sobtat és que els islandesos parlen com els grecs però sense acabar les paraules en “poulus” sinó en “fadigur”, encara que sona exactamíssimament igual. I el que més m’ha agradat, el paisatge lunar que hem resseguit al sortir de l’aeroport. Ja tinc ganes de pillar la motorhome i deixar la ciutat. Tot i que abans li faré empassar al Dani totes les botiguetes de Reykjavík perquè em vull comprar un jersei d’aquests tan macos d’islandès. Muhahahaaa.
